Suprematism

Suprematism

Definition

Stub page. Suprematism was an abstract art movement founded by Kazimir Malevich in Russia around 1915, characterized by geometric forms (especially the black square on white field) and claims to discover higher dimensions through pictorial composition. Malevich envisioned Suprematism as a "new architecture" that would "transfer these forms from the surface of canvas to space."
