Lia Yoka is a theorist of art and semiotics (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) who works on avant-garde art, semiotics, and the theory of the everyday. With Gregory Paschalidis she edited Semiotics and Hermeneutics of the Everyday (2015), whose Introduction surveys the pre-history and canonization of the everyday across modernism, psychoanalysis, phenomenology, Barthesian semioclasm, Lefebvrian critique, and the anthropological turn.
