Laura Vaughan is Professor of Urban Form and Society at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and a leading figure in space-syntax research on urban morphology. Her work examines how the configuration of streets, plot networks and land uses shapes urban life, suburban town centres and patterns of social encounter — combining quantitative spatial analysis with historical and social understanding.
